Beaucroft College: Illuminating a Sustainable Future

We’re proud to have supplied the lighting for the Beaucroft College project, a remarkable example of sustainable school retrofitting. Dorset Council envisioned this as a showcase for energy efficiency, and we were thrilled to contribute to their vision for the students’ and Wimborne’s future.

Lighting for Enhanced Learning and Well-being

The renovation transformed the former Wimborne First School into a purpose-built environment for SEN students. Our lighting solutions helped create open, light-filled classrooms and contribute to the atmosphere of the fresh air-filled, quiet rooms.

We also played a part in the new sensory facility, which features LED mood lighting for an immersive experience. Additionally, our artificial lighting was carefully installed to complement the increased natural daylight from the reinstated double-height windows and new high-level roof lights, ensuring compliance with current regulations throughout the school.

The project focused on sustainable upgrades, including internal insulation and double-glazed windows, alongside the new air source heat pump and photovoltaics. We’re delighted that our lighting contributed to a project that prioritises both environmental responsibility and an optimal learning environment for students.
